Das Racist 8-Bit Video Game

5 Sep

If you don’t know Das Racist, you probably know their viral satirical hip-hop Abbott & Costello-like gem “Combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell.” If you do know Das Racist, you wouldn’t be surprised if they created their own video game, which they did. Now you can play the new Das Racist 8-bit video game and help Heems and Kool A.D. find their hypeman Dap so they can fill in for Jay-Z and Justin Bieber, whose stretch Hummer got hit by a meteor.

 “Aw dip.”

The first-gen Nintendo-inspired game promotes “Who’s That? Brooown” from their March-released mixtape Shut Up, Dude. Their lyrics reference everything pop culture (seriously, scroll all the way down for a small sample of references), so why shouldn’t their videos?

Here’s a video listing of some Das Racist gems and lyrical highlights:

Song: “Rainbows in the Dark”

Lyrics of Note: “I’m at the White Castle/I don’t see you here, dawg/Tiny ass hamburgers/Tiny ass cheeseburgers/Tiny ass chicken sandwiches/It’s outlandish, kid”

Song: “You Oughta Know”

Lyrics of Note: Just listen to Victor lazily sing along with a sped up Billy Joel.

Song: “Chicken and Meat”

Lyrics of Note: “People in the street eatin’ chicken and meat/People eatin’ pork with a knife and a fork”

Song: “Hugo Chavez”

Lyrics of Note: “Me and Maya Angelou playin’ double dutch/Got a bubble butt, said I like you too/then we smoked two dutches/that’s a double dutch, my dude”

Song: “Fake Patois”

Lyrics of Note: “Even Jay-Z did the fake patois/Bad Brains had a fake patois/My man Snow had a fake patois/even Jim Carey fucked with the patois” and “Whatcha know bout Shaun Bridgmohan/Whatcha know bout Shaun Bridgmohan/first Jamaican in the Kentucky Derby”
